Where Can I Get My Beagle Examined for Becoming a Showdog?

Don't make the same mistakes I made with my Beagle!

My beagle meets the ANKC Beagle Standard and we are going to ring the breeder tommorow to ask if they think he has it in him. He has many family members that are grand champions including his father.

Any repuable breeder will be able to tell you if your dog is show quality or not. However, he MUST be registered by the AKC in order for you to show him in confomation. Did you purchase him as a show potential???

Yes. Speaking to your breeder is the best bet.

They usually let you know when you purchase the pup if it is show quality.

Also going to shows is an option. You can speak to the judges, other breeders and check out your competition.

    Good Luck.

NO IT DOES *NOT*"meet the breed standard"-which is written for ADULT dogs.!!!

You already asked this! Didn’t get the lies you wanted?

There’s NO WAY an 8 wk. old pup can "be examined" as anything more than a PROSPECT! It doesn’t even have it’s mouth in yet.
    WAIT 4 more months!!! THEN you’ll see SIZE & running gear & BITE & shoulder layback ,topline,etc.etc….& 2 testicles,btw!

Someone said he must be registered with AKC. Yes, that’s one venue. The other venue that is very popular for beagles is the UKC (United Kennel Club). They have very good beagle program.

You should speak with your breeder, she will know best if he should step foot in the breed ring or not.
